POSITION OVERVIEW:

Sheffield Steel, a Nova Steel company, is seeking a highly motivated Account Manager to develop, service, and grow our slit coil business across the Midwest USA region. This position plays a key role in expanding our market presence, strengthening customer relationships, and driving revenue growth within strategic markets. The successful candidate will be a results-driven sales professional with strong business acumen and a proven track record in the flat-rolled steel or steel service industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, service, and grow accounts within the Midwest USA region.
  • Leverage existing business relationships and establish new accounts to increase revenue in targeted markets.
  • Meet and exceed sales expectations and performance objectives.
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve short- and long-term goals for growth, profitability, and customer retention.
  • Identify and adapt to market trends to ensure continued sales success and customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate prices and terms for short- and long-term supply agreements aligned with company objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including purchasing, sales, operations, finance, and management.
  • Prepare quarterly forecasts, annual sales budgets, and contribute to multi-year business plans.
  • Create tailored business plans for key accounts to increase market share and achieve sales targets.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Business, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of outside sales and new business development experience in the flat-rolled steel or steel service industry.
  • Advanced selling skills, including prospect qualification, lead generation, strategic and consultative selling, negotiation, and closing.
  • Proven success in managing the full sales cycle from lead generation through to closing.
  • Strong ability to manage a sales funnel proactively and effectively.
  • Highly motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and entrepreneurial in approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
