We are seeking a dynamic candidate to join our Bowling Green, Kentucky location as a Roll Mill Operator on 2nd shift.

The ideal candidate would have experience in working in an ever-changing, fast-moving, and evolving environment. Candidates who have worked within a manufacturing/distribution environment are highly preferred.

Key responsibilities:

This position supports the roll mill team as part of the overall departmental teamwork initiative.

Leads the roll mill team to achieve the goals and objectives for quality, productivity while providing ideas for continuous improvement and resolving problems.
Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
Works with Maintenance Manager to plan work priorities, obtain necessary supplies, and assess skills needed to complete tasks.
Assesses roll mill systems to plan work assignments.
Collaborates with team members to discuss upcoming work assignments; delegates assignments based on team members skills and experience.
Execute roll mill training and standardize processes.
Attending meetings to understand the operational needs of the plant.
Performs administrative responsibilities for the roll mill team members such as time and attendance system, performance reviews, etc.
Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed safely, effectively, and in a timely manner.
Assists team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments.
Inspects work performed by team members.
Tracks and logs work time, materials, and other resources used for inventory purposes.
Works with Supervisors and Logistics to coordinate machine repair needs.
Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Requirements:

Roll Mill or high-volume manufacturing experience.
Extensive knowledge of tool and die and weld processes.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate when appropriate.
Ability to operate overhead crane.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Strong organizational skills are required.
Must be able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Must be able to work independently as well as in a team orientated environment.
Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations.
